THE LARGEST FOOD EXHIBITION IN CENTRAL ASIA IN ALMATY WILL BRING TOGETHER INDUSTRY LEADERS FROM 33 COUNTRIES

FROM NOVEMBER 1 TO 3, THE ATAKENT EXHIBITION CENTER IN ALMATY WILL HOST THE CENTRAL ASIAN INTERNATIONAL FOOD INDUSTRY EXHIBITION - FOODEXPO QAZAQSTAN 2023. THE EVENT, WHICH WILL TAKE PLACE FOR THE 25TH TIME, WILL BRING TOGETHER OVER 311 PARTICIPATING COMPANIES FROM 33 COUNTRIES ON ONE PLATFORM.

The exhibition - the largest in this industry in the entire region - will allow businesses to show their products to potential partners and visitors, and the business program will create a platform for discussing current trends in the development of the industry. The list of participating countries is represented by such leaders in the food industry as Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria,China,  Hungary, Vietnam, Germany, Denmark, India, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Malaysia, the Netherlands, UAE, Poland, Russia, Northern Macedonia, Slovenia, USA, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, France, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Japan. Both individual companies and representatives of national groups united for a single collective exposition take part in stands. Thus, manufacturers and distributors from Belarus, Hungary, Indonesia, Poland, Russia, North Macedonia, the USA, Sri Lanka and South Korea will present unified national stands.

For the first time, companies from North Macedonia will take part in the exhibition; after a long break, the Hungary Agricultural Marketing Center returns to the platform with the national stand of Hungary, and Agrosila, the agricultural holding from Russia, and the national producer of marbled meat - KazBeef will also debut their product range.

Exhibitors will present the latest and most relevant products/equipment in all product categories: from production lines and equipment, including processing, frying, drying, cold storage, packaging, etc., equipment and products for the restaurant and hotel business, to a wide range of prepared foods and beverages - confectionery, dairy and meat products, snacks and groceries, tea and coffee, as well as additives and spices.

In 2022, 240 companies took part in the event, and the current exhibition demonstrates another increase in participants - including due to international companies. This reflects the high interest of foreign partners in promoting their business in the Kazakhstan market. The exhibition area will also increase - it will exceed eight thousand square meters, increasing by one more pavilion compared to last year.

In addition to food and beverages, companies that offer technological solutions for food industry enterprises also actively participate in the exhibition. Thus, the specialized sector will present equipment and ingredients for the confectionery and bakery industries. Participants in this area include both permanent and new companies on the market. For example, the Kazakhstani company - Favorit Techno has been participating in the exhibition for more than 15 years, MIWE from Germany for more than 12 years, and Gostol from Slovenia for more than 10 years. For the first time, companies from Moldova, as well as brands from Lithuania and Russia, debut in this sector.

Equipment for dairy and meat processing enterprises will be presented by UZPO from Russia, AM2C from France, S.VAN’T RIET from the Netherlands, Omnipol from the Czech Republic, Shege from Kazakhstan and many others.

The thematic exposition – “Ingredients for the food industry” will increase significantly, the Minordija brand from Lithuania will be presented by Fudtekhnika company, Professional Biotechnologies, Scorpio-Aromat and Unified Trading System from Russia will also present their products, as well as the Kazakhstani CIS Market with Russian partner - Soyuzsnab.

Particularly noteworthy is the Meat and Meat Products section, which will be presented by leading Kazakhstani and international enterprises: Bizhan, Empire Food, EMC Agro, Damate, Brest Meat Processing Plant, Agrosila, KazBeef and many others.

It has become a tradition to hold a rich business program that allows government and business representatives to exchange experiences and visions for the further development of the food industry. Thus, it is planned to hold a business session: Sustainable development of food industry enterprises, where Pepsi Co. international company is the general partner. In addition, during the exhibition there will be a meeting of the Club of Bakery and Confectionery Technologists, as well as an expert session with practical cases on marketing, management and promotion of food industry enterprises.

There will also be an annual professional tasting competition - Best Product of FoodExpo Qazaqstan 2023 with the presentation of the exhibition’s quality mark.

To carry out direct negotiations between trade networks and distributors, a retail center will be organized on the exhibition territory. To date, meetings have already been planned with national and regional networks in Kazakhstan, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.

Another innovation this year was the launch of the ITECA.EVENTS mobile application, the main task of which is to create ideal business communications between visitors and participants. The application operates using artificial intelligence, advanced algorithms to improve interaction and exchange of contacts with the ability to schedule meetings, collect leads, and use the most relevant information on mobile. In short, ITECA.EVENTS is the entire exhibition in digital format on your personal device.
