The largest exhibitions of Central Asia opened in Almaty

Today, November 1, 2017 in Almaty, opening of six major international exhibitions was held: food industry - WorldFood Kazakhstan 2017, agriculture - AgroWorld Kazakhstan 2017, packaging - KazUpack Kazakhstan 2017, as well as "Hotels, restaurants, supermarkets goods" - HOREX Kazakhstan 2017, "Cold Storage, Transportation and Service for Cold Logistics" - ColdChain Kazakhstan 2017 and "Cleaners and Detergents, Dry Cleaning and Laundry Equipment and Cleaning Equipment" - CleanExpo Kazakhstan 2017.

Opening ceremony was attended by: Aidyn Kerimbek, Head of Department for Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine of Almaty; Anuar Chuzhegulov, Director of Department for Development and Export Promotion of Ministry of Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Igor Kamynin, Head of Representative Office of JSC "Russian Export Center" in Kazakhstan; Vincent Brain, Regional Director of ITE Group; as well as representatives of diplomatic missions of participating countries in exhibition.

Guests also took part in opening of Russian Export Center (REC). The head of REC, Igor Kamynin, said that Kazakhstan is the most important trade partner of Russian Federation with respect to non-resource and non-energy goods.

"The second largest area of our cooperation is consumer goods, food products, which are represented in large quantities at this exhibition. We want to develop, of course, and this year trade turnover between two countries can grow up to about 30%", - Igor Kamynin said.

On the part of Russia, as an important trade and economic partner, interest in food market of Republic of Kazakhstan increases every year. For the first time in 2017, Russia's exposition is represented not only by individual stands of Russian suppliers of food products and drinks, equipment and ingredients, but also by unprecedented number of stands of federal and regional export organizations, namely, separate expositions:

  • Russian Export Center
  • Export Support Funds: Altai Territory, Volgograd, Kirov, Smolensk Regions, StavropolTerritory.

International status of exhibition is confirmed by wide geography of represented companies. In 2017, exposition was opened by more than 400 participants from such countries as Austria, Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Hungary, Germany, India, Indonesia, Iran, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Colombia, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Netherlands, UAE , Pakistan, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, USA, Thailand, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Sri Lanka.

In addition this year a record number of companies from South Korea and India is recorded. For example, Indian potential of trade partnership will be represented by 33 companies exporting tea, spices, groceries, packaging, including Tea house of India and Chamber of Spice Suppliers of India.

According to statistics, annual number of exhibition visitors exceeds 5 thousand people. At WorldFood Kazakhstan exhibition, specialists can realize set business objectives for both short-term and long-term prospects: to find suppliers and partners, to carry out purchase according to results of exhibition work, and also to get acquainted with novelties of finished products, ingredients and equipment of food industry market.

The exhibition will last till November 3, 2017.

Official support in exhibition organization is rendered by: Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Almaty City Akimat, Union of Poultry Breeders of Kazakhstan, National Chamber of Entrepreneurs RK "Atameken", Trade Representations of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
